City—Actress and now second term Batangas provincial Governor Vilma
Santos-Recto was hailed as the top 7th in the search for the
2012 Outstanding Public Officials and Employees of the Office of the
President at Civil Service Commission.
This was released by the Office of the President recently under the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award category.
Currently on her second term as Batangas governor, Santos-Recto has been reaping awards from government and non-government award giving body since her first term in 2007.
The award, under the CSC Memorandum Circular No. 3 Series of 2011, is given to outstanding public officials with track record of excellent performance and ethical behavior in the task of doing their job as public servants.
Known in the province as Gov. Vi, the governor has already sent her expression of gratitude to the CSC and said that the award is not really for her alone but for every Batangueño that she is serving for the last five years.
“This award is also for the entire provincial government, all the people from the Batangas Provincial Capitol who have been working tirelessly to serve the people,” Gov Vi added.
The award will be given to the governor on September 2012 in Malacañang, where the awards for the Dangal ng Bayan Award and Civil Service Commission also known as Pagasa Award will also be held.(SLI/ Capitol PIO)
