Batangas City—A surprise mother’s day treat got the capitol mothers screaming wow when they accepted the roses and beauty package at what they thought was just another ordinary program after the flag ceremony provincial auditorium yesterday.

An advanced celebration for Mother’s Day program on May  12, the mothers were emotional, some were near tears after receiving the roses.

The capitol mothers, who some call “working mommy” even joked that the last time they got a red rose was right after they got married. Which was eons ago.

“I believe that being a mother is one of the world’s noblest professions. It’s actually more of a vocation where you don’t get any day off, and the work never ends,” Gov. Vi said,”Like you, I’m also a mother, not just to my two sons, to the 2 million Batangueños. And it is my duty to make sure that every Batangueño family’s lives will change for the better.”

Aside from the roses, the capitol working moms also got a beauty  package from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office.

According to PSWD chief Joy Montalbo beauty and relaxation package is also a part of the province’s stress management program to ease and relax the capitol’s working moms who have also been actively working not just in the workplace but also in their homes.

The package includes free whole body massage, haircut, manicure and pedicure to pamper the working moms before their day, mother’s day comes. Mei Magsino, SLI (With report from the Provincial Information Office)
